Valley City State University head women's basketball coach Jill DeVries is pleased to announce that West Fargo high school guard Lexi Lennon has decided to attend VCSU and join the women's basketball program.

'We are very excited about Lexi choosing VCSU. She is a great fit athletically and a person of character that we feel fits what Viking women's basketball is all about.' DeVries commented. 'She is an outstanding student athlete with high expectations of herself on and off of the basketball court.'

Lennon averaged 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals in her junior season for the Packers. She was a 2012 All-EDC conference first team selection, 2012 Class A All-State player, 2012 Class A GBB All-Tournament team selection and West Fargo team MVP.

'Lexi is a great competitor. She has worked very hard over this past summer and we are looking forward to having her in our program.' said DeVries. 'She is an athletic guard with outstanding offensive skills. She can shoot the three, and is physical going to the basket.'
