WBB: Lee Signs with Viking Women\'s Basketball
Valley City State women's basketball coach Jill DeVries announced today that Ashli Lee has chosen to continue her playing career for the Vikings.

Lee, a 5'9' forward from Brooklyn Park, MN, played her high school basketball for Robbinsdale-Cooper high school. She led the Hawks in scoring her senior season averaging 12.6 points, 4.8 rebounds per game, and totaled 68 steals and 25 blocks.

'Ashli was the hardest working, most reliable player.' Commented Cooper head coach Jen Rademacher. 'She can post and rebound in the paint but also has a great outside shot and hit many 3's for us. She is also a fantastic passer and with good court vision. It's exciting to think about her continuing her career because she hasn't got to her full potential yet.'

Lee started all 28 games for the Hawks and was named her team's MVP as well as 2012 North Suburban all-conference as a senior and honorable-mention all-league as a junior.

'We are very excited about Ashli. She is a long athlete that can create havoc for opponents on the defensive end of the floor. She has steadily improved her offensive skill-set and will only get better as a collegiate player.' says DeVries. 'She is a young woman of character that really fits well into our program and her tireless work ethic pays off on and off of the basketball court.'

Robbinsdale-Cooper recorded a school record 23 wins during the 2012 season versus five losses.
