Craig Case
Head Coach

Craig Case is entering his second season at the helm of the Vikings volleyball program. In his first season with the Vikings Case helped lead the volleyball program to its first winning season in nearly a decade amassing a record of 18-16.

The Elk River, MN. native brings a solid background of coaching experience to VCSU’s program having coached at St. Gregory's University(OK), Northern State University and the USAV Junior Olympic volleyball teams. He has also served as a high school assistant for volleyball, basketball, track and football at Center Point High School in Center Point, Tex. and was an assistant women’s volleyball coach and director of intramural programs at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y.

Case received his bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University in 1999 and holds a master’s degree in education from St. Lawrence University and received his master’s degree in education with an emphasis in physical education, health and coaching at NSU.


Lauren Viney
Head Coach

Lauren Viney is entering her 1st year as the Vikings assistant.

The Dayton, Oh, native is coming from Wright State University in Dayton as the second assistant for two seasons. One season at Centerville HS Boys Volleyball where they finished as one of the top four teams in the state. Viney also was a head coach for two years with Dayton Juniors Volleyball Club as well as two years with Air City Boys club 18-U (were #1 in OVR standings).

Prior to her coaching career Viney had a strong Division I playing career. Her first two seasons she set at Tennessee Tech University. Following her Sophomore year with the Golden Eagles Viney transferred to Eastern Michigan University where she spent her junior year as a libero and setter. Her senior campaign she set the single season assist record (1,529 assists). She graduated from EMU with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and is pursuing her Masters of Science in Sports Pedagogy from NDSU.
