Paige Smith a freshman CF/P from Gretna, MB has been named the DAC Player of the Week for the week of March 16-22. Smith batted .346 with seven runs scored, six RBI and was four-for-four on stolen base attempts as the Vikings went 4-3 for the week. She was 9 of 26 at the plate with a double, triple and a home run and also had one walk.

Smith also pitched her way to a 1-0 record and a 7 inning no decision. In all she pitched 13 innings allowing 11 earned runs, striking out five and allowing a .278 batting average against.

Smith helped lead the Vikings to a 4-3 record at the University of West Florida Spring Fling in Pensacola, Fl. The Vikings now have an overall record of 5-6 on the season.
