VCSU won the first half 31-21 and the second half 33-29 to beat Mayville by 14 (64-50).

VCSU, ranked 20th in the NAIA, improved to 15-4 with the win, with Mayville dropping to 5-14.

VCSU will play in the men's championship at 7 pm Sunday vs the winner of Dakota State vs Jamestown.

Mayville will play in the consolation game at 3 pm.

Four players netted double figures for VCSU: John Raquel (13), Aaron Duske (13), Sekani Milligen (13), and Gus Kueber.

The Vikings also showed good depth in the rebound department: Milligen led with 10, followed by Dillan Ostrom with 9, and Kueber with 8.

Mayville only shot 29.4% from the field, and VCSU led in rebounding 47-38.

Austin Emerson netted 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for Mayville, while Sam Hyman added 11.

The Vikings will play in the Tip Off Championship at 7:00 PM at the Jamestown Civic Center on Sunday.
