The Valley City State University Men's Basketball team led from start to finish, but the visiting Lions wouldn't go away as the Vikings held on for a 75-65 win at home.

Valley City State started the game on an 18-4 run and it looked as though they would run away with the game but Trinity Bible would be heard in the second half. The Lions, down 18 points at the break, bombed away from the three point line in the second half, shooting 7 for 13 (53.8%) from beyond the arc, but they couldn't get the Viking lead to single digits.

The Vikings shot 46.9% in the second half and 51.7% for the game but struggled from the three point line shooting only 7-25 (28%) from long distance. Valley City State however, controlled the boards out rebounding Trinity Bible 45-31.

Offensively three Vikings hit the double digit scoring mark, led by Sekani Milligen who tallied 20 points on 7 for 11 shooting including 6 for 10 from the three point line. Milligen narrowly missed a double double snagging nine rebounds for the game. Aaron Duske and Gus Kueber followed Millgen with 16 and 14 points respectively.

The win puts the 17th ranked team in NAIA Division II Men's Basketball at 8-2 on the season. The Vikings will travel next week to play on the road at Northern New Mexico College and Johnson and Wales University (CO).
