VCSU Head Coach Jeff Kaminsky also comments on Cherry, 'We are excited to announce that Thomas will be a Viking. He had a tremendous amount of success playing in an extremely competitive area of Texas high school basketball and we look forward to him being part of our program. Thomas' ability to create scoring opportunities for others combined with his own ability to score will bring added dimension and depth to our offense. Thomas also has the ability to pressure the ball defensively which will be a great fit in our defensive system. Off the court, Thomas has the character and work ethic that make him a welcomed addition to our program.'
