The Valley City State University Viking Men's Basketball team announces the completion of their schedule for the 2010-2011 season. It promises to be an exciting, but challenging season for the team and fans alike.

The Vikings will kick off their season against UM-Crookston Oct. 30, in the first of five games against NSIC NCAA Division II opponents this season. The following weekend the Vikings pack their bags and head to Iowa for the always challenging road trip against Dordt College (Sioux City, IA) and Northwestern College (Orange City, IA).

The Vikings return home to host MSU-Moorhead on Nov. 10th, then head to Sioux Falls, SD for an exhibition with Augustana College on Nov. 24, and then face Concordia-St. Paul in an exhibition on Nov. 26, and square off with Upper Iowa on Nov. 27 in the Concordia St. Paul Classic. The Vikings also take on NCAA Division I North Dakota State in an exhibition on November 29 at the Bison Sports Arena in Fargo, ND.

The 2009-2010 DAC champions begin defense of their title with conference play the weekend of December 3 as the Vikings welcome Minot State and Dickinson State to the W. E. Osmon Fieldhouse.

Over the Christmas break the Vikings will head to the Santa Barbara, California to participate in the Westmont College Tournament where they will face one of the top teams in Canada from a year ago in University of British Columbia in the first round.

After returning from the holiday break, the Vikings will resume conference play by traveling to the Black Hills of South Dakota in their longest conference road trip of the season. The Vikings last home conference game is slated for February 9 versus rival Jamestown College.
