The game was a story of two halves as the Eagles from Robert Morris University dominated the game and the scoreboard in the first half en route to a 20-0 halftime lead. RMU out gained the Vikings 310 to 63 yards during the first two quarters.

The second half was played by a different Viking team as they outscored RMU 21-0. The Vikings out gained the Eagles 206 to 93 yards in the final two quarters. The difference in the game turned out to be a missed extra point on the very first touchdown of the game by RMU. Viking placekicker, Thomas Cortez was a perfect 3-3 on the day.
